What do we mean by home mechanical ventilation?

Home Mechanical Ventilation (HMV)/Non-invasive Ventilation (NIV) is the provision of ventilator support to a patient via a mask. Non-invasive ventilation assists the patient to optimally inflate and deflate their lungs, and aids the reduction of carbon dioxide within the blood stream

There are many different patient groups that may benefit from long term NIV, these include chest wall deformity, neuromuscular disease, COPD, obesity hypoventilation and kyphoscoliosis.  Home mechanical ventilation has proven to reduce hospital admissions and slow the rate of mortality for patients who require it.

Our highly competent and multi-skilled specialist Healthcare Technician team are fully trained in the service and maintenance of ventilation devices from a wide spectrum of manufacturers.
